🙌 P2 for Janine Schneider at the UCI Gravel World Series in Singen! 🥳
Janine Schneider recently showcased her incredible talent at the UCI Gravel World Series in Singen, finishing in a remarkable second place. The race kicked off as a slow elimination event, with riders gradually falling behind until only three competitors remained. Janine described the early stages of the race as a mix of strategy and endurance, where she felt comfortable enough to create small gaps, while her competitor Caro was doing the same.
As the race progressed, the tension built up. With about 10 kilometers left to go, Janine faced a setback when her chain got badly jammed, causing her to momentarily drop to third place. However, true to her competitive spirit, she quickly regained her position and teamed up with Maaike to catch up with Caro. The back-and-forth battle continued, and although Janine managed to open a gap at one point, Caro was quick to close it again.
In the final moments of the race, Janine and Caro were neck and neck, navigating through tricky corner combinations. Unfortunately, Caro executed the final stretch better and crossed the wooden bridge first, ultimately clinching the victory. Janine's performance was nothing short of impressive, demonstrating her resilience and skill throughout the challenging course.
The race spanned a distance of 104 kilometers, featuring an elevation of 2200 meters, and Janine completed it in exactly four hours, maintaining an average speed of 25.72 km/h. She burned an impressive 3296 calories during the ride, showcasing the intense effort she put into this competition.
Congratulations to Janine for her outstanding performance at the Gravel World Series in Singen! It's inspiring to see such dedication and strength in action.
