Therefore, we will show you 8 steps to conduct a successful Aerotune Powertest. The real power, however, lies in the synergy with our Activity AI to track your process meticulously. Steps for a Successful Powertest

  1. Choose the right test method for you or your athlete's needs: Indoor vs. outdoor & one day vs. two days Execution. 📅

  2. It’s an “all-out but paced” test protocol, so make sure your Hydration & Nutrition is well-chosen: Start the day by drinking water to ensure you are well-hydrated. 💧 Avoid excessive coffee or beverages that might lead to dehydration. Have a light, easily digestible, carbohydrate-rich breakfast. 🥣🍌 This should be about 2-3 hours before the test to provide you with energy without feeling full or uncomfortable during the test.

  3. Feeling nervous is natural since both your body and mind are aware that it's a day of testing. 😬 And keep in mind: testing is the best way to define optimized training zones.

  4. Outdoor 🏞️: Calibrate your power meter, use a heart rate measurement for optional Powertest AI. We recommend a heart rate belt. All tests must be performed in a seated position.
    Indoor 🏡: Ensure room temperature is between 15 - 18°C, calibrate your power meter, use a heart rate measurement for optional Powertest AI, and use a fan for cooling. All tests must be performed in a seated position.

  5. Follow the test protocol. 📋 You can find a zwiftfile (for indoor testing) and the PDFs for the testing process here.

  6. After testing, easily download your training file from your preferred platform or device. 📥
